I drink Wellington SPA when I am out of homebrew. A very nice deep copper coloured ale.

A locally brewed IPA or Stout or good old Kentucky Bourbon.

Re: What do you drink when it's not homebrewed?
Right now i'm drinking lancaster brewerie's "amish four grain pale ale" Its brewed with oats rye wheat and barley and dry hopped with saaz, it is delicious but I don't have a favorite, if I'm in a jam I go for yeungling lager(being from the philadelphia area). But I tend to get a different case of something new from the local distributor every week or two. I also spend way to much time staring at all the different cases wondering, "should I spend the extra 50 bucks for the quadruple high gravity kick your ass brewed with the craziest sh#t imaginable beer, or should I go for something in season from a local micro, or maybe a belgian or german import, ooh this looks good, oh but that I've never even heard of, damn't just pick something people are starting to stare"

Re: What do you drink when it's not homebrewed?
I know this an old thread but I just had to chime in. I too typically have Sierra Nevada Pale Ale as a usual standby, but I have gravitated toward higher ABV beers. In fact, try Sierra Nevada Torpedo if you want to take their pale ale to the next level - DELICIOUS! I like to be able to have 2 or 3 strong beers and be set. I guess I am what you would call a beer whore - I'll try just about any beer at least once. I'm always looking for something new and different.
I am lucky to have several VERY NICE beer bars in Tampa where I live: Oldsmar Taphouse, World of Beer, Mr. Dunderbak's are just a few. The homebrew/craft beer culture is very alive here and I have tried to get more involved by heading to events and I'll be attending my first local homebrew club meeting in July.
I have digressed here, back to the question. Here are some of the beers I have had lately that I recommend: Bell's Two Hearted Ale (my current favorite), Cigar City Brewing (new local brewery coming out with some kick ass brew - check out at Beer Advocate) - Jai Alai IPA - Maduro Brown Ale - Bolita Brown Double Nut Brown Ale, Stone Russian Imperial Stout, Old Chub, and more. There's a big liquor store that has an incredible beer selection and mix and match singles. So, the kid in the candy store is an understatement for me when I go by there.
I just started homebrewing and can't wait to start sampling the fruits of my labor. In the meantime, I will be content with my smorgasbord of tasty craft beers in my fridge.

I've been a huge fan of Deschutes Black Butte Porter lately, and pretty much everything else from Deschutes. Their Obsidian Stout is really good, and their seasonal abyss barley wine is just awsome!

If you get the chance to try Obsidian on Nitro, do it.
It's even tastier.

Black Butte Porter is also my choice when I have been too lazy to brew, which seldom happens.

Mendocino Brewing Company: Black Hawk Stout
http://www.mendobrew.com/brews/black_hawk.html
Found it on sale a year ago and the regular price is still around $28 a case which is great for such a well crafted beer. All their varieties are nice. Here in New Jersey, my old favorites (Dogfish Head Chicory Stout and Otter Creek Stovepipe Porter) got too expensive.
Now I'm back into home brewing.

My favorite non-homebrew would have to be Rolling Rock. I have been drinking it since my college days (oh so long ago). I finally got into brewing once I secured my first home in 2004. I also have been buying Sam Adams lately. The hops are just delicious.

Subject to daily weather conditions, availability, and mood, here's what I've been putting in the Homebrew Keg Fridge:
Smuttynose Pale Ale or Robust Porter.
Beer from work (Milly's Tavern)
Victory (anything)
Troeggs (anything)
Sam Adams Noble Pils
Sam Smith Oatmeal Stout
Redhook Eisbock
or whatever else looks tasty/interesting.
