Malt and hops are in and boiling away. One hour till flame out. This recipe has a wonderful aroma already and is making me thirsty. Time to try a new brew. Lienenkugels Sunset Wheat.

Well it is all done. The FG was 1.045 and the color was a little lighter than Beer Smith said it would be but that is great. The flavor is almost like a true hefe but we will see when it is done.

Re: Trying my spaltz hops for the first time
Just took a sample and wow, I really think this will be awesome once it's carbed. The FG was 1.010 and the color was a light yellow and very cloudy. I like it cloudy though, more flavor I think. Any way, I will be putting it in the keg this weekend and letting it sit for a week until my buddy gets here next Friday. How fast can 5 gallons go, any bets???? lol
