Palisade Hops

Postby beernut » Tue Feb 03, 2009 3:24 am

Has anyone tried Palisade hops? I just got some and was thinking about using them to brew a West Coast Red Ale. I was going to use Nugget for the bittering hops and Cascade and Palisade for the flavor and aroma. If anyone out there has used this hop, please let me know what you thought of it.. Thanks

I used Palisade instead of Cascade in my Irish red Rye and Mirror Pond Clone.
My friends and club members enjoyed both.

Palisade hops are a fairly new variety and as such there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information out there about them.

They sound nice but failry mellow.

I did, however, find the following info on them which has makes me want to try this hop myself:
