+1!
You cant beat getting help and advice specific to your brewing needs! This is a great place to celebrate your brewing success, as well as let other folks learn from your brewing failures.
I'd love to see some more new faces around here! All experience levels are welcome! New brewers are, of course, always welcome here, and I personally would love to see some professionals (microbrewers, brewpubs and such) join in the fun! Imagine the tons of useful information you could glean from those guys!
Anyway, join up! I look forward to chatting with you folks!
Cheers
Dave

Yep yep yep. Gotta put my 2 cents on this one ( maybe a dollar worth). I have tried a couple of other forums in my short 3 years of brewing and everywhere I go I ran into pompass people that think if you don't know it all they don't need to talk to you. Also, I have only done extract brewing and that is not an issue here. GREAT SITE, thanks Matt!!!!!!!

Man,
Thanks you guys. I've really enjoyed getting this site up and running and it's turning out to be a really great community. And I second this also, beginners are very very welcome here. It's a place for all levels of brewers and the folks here are always willing to take time to help out someone who's just getting started. Take it easy.

Welcome too!
I'd like to pimp our site, www.brewcommune.com as a non "pompass" brewing site. We want to promote homebrewing and all the process' involved in making award winning beer. We got hacked last Dec. and lost over 20,000 posts and are in the process of rebuilding it. We offer FREE photo hosting and no ADVERTISING, EVER. We've had 5 new members join up in the last month and one of them has not even brewed yet. He just liked what he read and appreciates the information we give.
I also made a drip tray today for a kegerator for one of the other newer members who built it in a week:
One of our fellow homebrewers has made the jump to craft brewing and I helped bottle up his first 3 batches last week. To see the progress go to www.thebruery.com and click on his blog to see the entries he's put up and pics.
