New "beer" alert

Postby Kevin » Wed Sep 23, 2009 2:56 am

While there are no reviews, nor importers to the US for this. It qualifies as cutting edge.

A Danish company has produced a beer from entirely unmalted barley, using a newly developed biotech enzyme.

A link to the enzyme company: http://www.ondeabrewing.com/cost/Pages/Innovation.aspx

I already think that a corporation that places lab results and marketing ahead of actual taste is creating an engineered barley beverage, not a beer. This just completes that effort.

Very interesting for sure. I'd like to see how it tastes. In theory, it should be similar since it's just a different process to create the same result. Thanks for the post!
