X-mas beer, X-mas brew etc. votes and recommendations
So Christmas time is closing in on us. In Denmark micro breweries and beer importers alike have filled our supermarkets and beer shops with their Christmas beer.
So what do you recommend?
What have you tasted and how do you rate it?
I would like to know what I should look for next......
I strongly recommend Danish X-mas beer but I also recommend these three very different beers.
Gouden Carolus Christmas (Belgium - 10,5%)
Scaldis (Bush) Noël (Belguim - 10,5%)
Bohemia Regent (Chezh replublic - 7,0%)

Three holiday beers I always partake in are Sierra Nevada Brewing's Celebration Ale, Anchor Brewing's Christmas Ale and Midnight Sun Brewing's CoHoHo Imperial IPA.
Celebration Ale is a wonderfully flavorful American IPA. It is hoppy without going to the extreme.
The recipe for Anchor's Christmas Ale varies from year to year but it is always excellent!
At 85 IBUs CoHoHo smacks you upside the head with HOPS! This beer is not for the faint of heart. This is definitely an extreme beer and as such it is not something you necessarily want everyday. But having said that I like to have a bottle or two each year during the Holidays.

I'd definitely agree on the Gouden Carolus and Sierra Nevada. I'd agree on the Anchor too, but where as last year it literally tasted like Christmas, this year it tastes like anise.
Some other holiday beers I'd recommend are:
Affligem Noel or Delirium Noel - cant remember which I like better (Dark Belgians)
Great Divide's Hibernation Ale (Old Ale)
Brooklyn's Black Chocolate Stout (Russian Imperial Stout)
