Drinking a lot of water before bed seems to be the only thing that helps for me..

A bloody mary or a prarie oyster has sometimes worked for me. For those nor familiar with the latter all it is is a shot of gin, vinegar, salt, pepper and an egg yolk, just the yolk. Other methods that have worked for me is pickle juice, just straight pickle juice. Pho or curry can help out too.

Gatorade usually does the trick for me. Never tried it for prevention, but it definitely helps out the next day.

This is a good one. If I drink beer, I get a hang over. But to prevent it, you need to be well hydrated the day before and pop two tylenol before you drink. Probably not the best thing for the liver, but it works.

For me though, when I switched to JD. I've never had another hang over. That leads me to believe that its possibly the quality of alcahol that causes the bad hang overs.

Lots of water is always good.
