Kegging

Postby spacone » Mon Jan 12, 2009 2:37 pm

I have no idea where to begin but I would eventually like to start kegging my 5 gallon batches of brew. If anyone has the time to walk me through the process and the startup equiptment I need for the process that would be great. I'd probably look at getting some type of chest freezer for refridgeration is that's a viable option. TYIA

You should check on youtube. Type in "kegging beer" and there are several clips that explain the process pretty well. I just started kegging my brew and I LOVE IT. As for the stuff you will need, check with Jeepguy. Jeepguy has an online homebrew supply business and will set you up. He is a good guy and pretty fair priced. Hope this helps..

I traveled to beernuts house & helped him upgrade his kegerator to a 3 faucet unit. But he only lives about 80 miles away & he is close to my grain supply place so it worked out perfect!!
I have a kegging page on my site with some basic info.
I also have a good way to force carbonate the beer at a pretty safe level withought overcarbing it.
