If your job is making and tasting beer, you're a Brew Miester.
If you have no job, and you drink beer, you've a drinking problem.

i had 5 cascades i put in this year, made a nice 13.5 gallon batch of amber.
You can get hops at my store @ http://www.thebrewguy.com
If you want a different kind than i have up let me know. The prices have trippled from my wholesaler in the last 2 weeks so hops will be costing more soon. i have 11#'s of cascades on their way,1# of fuggles,1 # of perle, & 1# of willamette.
But i can order any kind.
I have noticed suppliers running out.
Grain is going to be way higher in a couple months too.[/url]

homegrown recommendation & brew question
This distributor worked well for me ~*order rhizomes (live roots) early next year*
http://www.thebeeressentials.com/
I am not affiliated with the distributor
Question: Anyone tried using Horizon hops? Would appreciate observations as to taste, bitterness, stability, head retention, etc

their rhizomes prices are very good but everything else they sell is kinda high. Most of those prices are about what you would find in an actual shop.
The rhizome that i dug up & cut in half is sprouting. I am gonna do the same with the others when i get a chance.
I'm gonna have hops all over my computer room if i'm not careful!

i got some rhizome's two years ago from freshhops, cascade and fuggles. they did good the first year and real good last year. i split up the plants and now i have six of each settled in for the winter, hope they keep doing good for next year. i was told that these were probably the only hops that would do any good in the hot, dry climate where i live, so i've come up with my house beer that uses these and don't have to worry too much about the cost and lack of supply of hops.
