Holiday Weekend Selections

Postby pghpete22 » Sat May 24, 2008 12:50 am

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. It's still PC to be able to wish others well on this holiday isn't it?

Anyway, we're having some friends over tomorrow. Last week, I gave them a sample of all three batches of my brew (All kits - American Light, Continental Pilsner, German Altbier). They loved them :P The American Light is my oldest batch (Oct 07), and when I opened it, it was as clear as clear can be in the glass.

They'll be bringing some Arrogant Bastard, and some Canadian beer (from Canada, not here), and a good time should be had by all.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Oh, BTW, after 3 batches, I'm ready to buy a recipe book and try my hand at the next level.

What beers are you folks breaking out this weekend? The 6 22-oz. bottles I plan to break out will use up 1/3 of my stash, but I'm going to enjoy doing it.

:( I am all out of homebrew. I can't believe I let this happen. Not even anything in the fermentor. I might have to scrape together some pennies and go get some ingredients. Oh well, guess it will be store bought this weekend. Maybe I will just go to Bevmo and grab something I have never had. Have a great holiday all and be safe.

John

P.S. From one vet to all the rest, past and present, thank you for your service.

Well I hope everyone had a fun and safe holiday. Ours went just fine right up until last night when my 16 year old son borrowed my car and you can see how that ended up. He did get hurt in the accident but he isn't safe yet.
