hey - recipes for beer + chicken?
Have any of you used home-brewed beer in a chicken recipe? Would it work well in, say, stir-fried chicken or something like that? I think wine is more common in chicken dishes.

I suppose it would depend on the recipe..
I use my beer in Chili, in Spaghetti Sauce, and in a lot of marinades, but I don't know if I've every used it with chicken...other than beer-can chicken using home-brew..Which seemed like a waste since it didn't contribute much flavor.

Re: hey - recipes for beer + chicken?
I originally misread your post and thought you were looking for a recipe for making a beer with a chicken.
I was relieved to see you were looking for recipes for chicken using beer as an ingredient and not vice versa.
Actually such a recipe does indeed exist. Here is the recipe that Charlie Papazian gives: http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-241-Beer-Examiner~y2009m11d24-Beer-Styles-The-tale-of-cock-ale--part-23.
I first heard of this beer in Papazian's Complete Joy of Homebrewing book.
I know somebody who actually brewed this. Apparently it was disgusting but not nearly as vile as one would expect.
Hmmm...I wonder why KCF hasn't latched onto this unique combination?
