O.K., so its a little redneck too!!
I have a ghetto style homemade hydroponics setup. I have some hops started in it taking root. They are the tops off off some shoots i have cut off my big plants. I am using composted horse "poo" for the nutrients. A small pond pump & a small aquarium air pump. I also have some lettuce i am trying.
Anybody else try hydroponics?
I will get some pics later. They are in my greenhouse in a corrugated 4" drain pipe with holes in it. The roots are going crazy now that they have started. Could work out great. I will keep you guys posted!!

I would love to see some photos, there's a hydroponics shop quite near my house and I thought if its easy to get a small setup started then that might be a great new hobby.

i can do that. If i get off my lazy butt i can get my hydronic wholesale acounct set up.
I will do a write up this week. Do you want to use store bought nutrients? I am using horse poo compost cause i got a giant pile of it. But i might switch to actual hydroponic nutrients.
