Flavored Syrups
So I'm making a Hazzelnut Coffee Stout in which I used 6oz. of hazzelnut coffee (steeped for 10 minutes after boil) I was thinking that I could steep another 6oz of the same coffee in pint of water then boil my DME and use that to bottle with. But I'm not sure that it will give me the hazzelnut flavor I'm looking for. Anyone here had the Hideout Brewery's Hazzelnut Stout yum. So I was at Wal-Mart and picked up Torani sugar free hazzelnut syrup. I wondered if anyone here has used flavored syrup in their brews before and if so what kind of volumes did you use and what were the results.
