I have never heard of any of the programs that are out. I am wondering what the opinions of brwing software are?

i started useing Beersmith 2 batches ago and it made my brew day go a lot smoother. now i can hit my temps. for my mash without any problems, and it makes building up a recipe a snap. i tried the trial version of promash and it was good but a little over my head, too complicated for me.

a great day starts with a good brew

I use ProMash. Built by a brewer and used on a home brew scale as well professional. I've also seen BeerTools @ BeerTools.com. Gives access to there recipe data base. Check'em out it will make your formulation and consistency much easier.

I like beertools! I don't know how I lived without it. It takes guess work out of making beer and leaves more time for enjoying your homebrew!
Thanks,

I am very please with BeerTools (http://www.beertools.com).

The free online version is very nice and good for most purposes. Also since it is internet based it does not matter what platform one has. At any rate, you can at least see if you like BeerTools using the free online version before deciding to either purchase either BeerTools Pro or online Gold membership.

I have BeerTools Pro which is the doadloaded version and has some nice additional features. This is available for both PCs and Macs. This is particularly nice since I have a Mac and there is very little brewing software for Macs.

Should you have a Mac there is also BeerAlchemy (http://www.kentplacesoftware.com/products/BeerAlchemy.html).

I also have BeerAlchemy. It is also pretty good though I must admit that of the two brewing software packages I have I do prefer BeerTools Pro.

Cheers,

Scott

I too use ProMash but don't go into many of it's features like some do.

Beersmith's used by a lot of our club's brewers and we've created a recipe database on our forum and you can access it by clicking :RECIPE DATABASE

I have beersmith, and absolutely love it. Its the best 20 bucks Ive spent on homebrewing. It takes a lot of the guesswork out of it, and makes everything much easier.

Cheers
