Heavenly Fire

I try to keep this blog about beer and brewing but I need to put this out. I love the school that my kids are going to but they really upset a lot of poeple tonight to include making my daughter cry for the wrong reasons. Here is the story.

Tonight was Westwoods graduation and boy did they have a mess on their hands. As everyone in AZ knows we had a storm front blow in and yes this causes problems with outside graduation ceremonies. Here is the plan they came up with. Move it inside. Ok not a bad idea at all, right? Well it would be if they had half a brain and really gave a shit about their students and their families. Because the class was so big they tried to split the students in half and have it in 2 differant locations in the school. This really upset and pissed off most of the seniors. I don’t blame them, these kids have been together for a long time and have been through a lot together. Why split them up? The next thing they did was say that each student could only bring in 4 guests to see it. WHAT???!!!!! Some of these kids had family come from around the country to see this. Some had 15 or 20 or more. We had 9 here which was a small number considering that we sent out a butt load of announcements. Now it gets worse, once they started moving the kids in the school decided that only 1 guest could come in. Now I really have to ask who the brain child was that came up with this one. Now the school has families very pissed off at them.

On a final note though, I would like to say that I am very proud of the seniors that stood there ground. They decided that if they couldn’t walk the line together then they wouldn’t walk at all. That took guts and I was proud to stand OUTSIDE with them. If we could get more adults coming up that would actually do what they say they are going to do and stick to their word, this world would be an awesome place.
