Best deal on Corny Kegs!

Postby GuitarLord5000 » Mon Feb 16, 2009 5:49 am

Hey folks...
Here's the best deal on the internet for cheap kegs that I've seen. If you have seen something better, please post it here!

I've ordered 4 kegs, and I'll let you folks know what I think of them once they arrive.

Cheers
Dave

I have placed two orders with chico beverage. Shiping was ok not lightning fast but every thing got hear and the kegs where in good shape. They seem like a good company to do business with. Any way my experiance was a good one.

It seems like I've neglected this post...Sorry!

The kegs from Chi Company arrived fairly quickly. Three of them arrived pressurized, but one didn't. The kegs were covered in a ton of old tape and leftover sticky tape material. After cleaning them up with my orbital sander, I saw that the kegs were in pretty good condition except for one which was really banged up (the one that wouldn't hold pressure). The others had minor dents and dings, but that's to be expected with any used kegs. One of the diptubes was bent up pretty good, but the others were in pretty good condition. I pulled apart the keg with the bent diptube, and messed with it until I got it fairly straight. I changed the O-rings on all the kegs, and re-pressurized them. I let them sit for a few days, and checked them. Three of the kegs were pressurized, but the really beat up keg wouldn't keep pressure. I've since given that keg to my brother, and he was able to get it working. Apparently, the lid opening had a ding in it that was preventing the keg from sealing properly.
All told, I'm pretty pleased with my purchase, but I wouldn't say I'm truly satisfied. I really expected to receive four kegs that would hold pressure. I guess 3 out of 4 aint bad.
Before you buy with Chi, you may want to also look at the Kegconnection. They have a slightly higher price for their 4 pack of kegs, but they may have cheaper shipping depending on your location. The shipping was CONSIDERABLY cheaper for me with the Kegconnection. I've done business with them a couple times, and have always been satisfied.
