Beer Storage, buy swing-top bottles?
Hi,
I live in Philly and working on my first batch. Does anyone know where I can purchase empty swing tops. I am working on a case of grolsch now but I can drink 2 cases in a week. I need to bottle Saturday.
Thanks

You might try hitting up bars and/or restaurants that serve Groelsh and ask them to save bottles.
Some homebrew shops sell swing top bottles but more often than not they tend to only see replacement gaskets.
The Kegworks http://www.kegworks.com has them. They are in New York so it is possible they might be able to get them to you in time.
Other than that I would suggest you get drinking.

I go with regular pop offs. They are easy to clean & you dont have to worry about keeping track of them when you go places!!
I do have a bunch of used grolsh bottles though. All in good clean working order. & can get new ones.
But if you get a bench capper you will like capping way more too.
When all i had was a wingcapper i hated it because of bottles breaking.
The swingtops are very nice though.
