Beer Ingredient Expiration
I have a beer kit from 2005. I alreadly threw the yeast away. I still have the hops (never refrigerated), priming sugar, malt extract syrup (in a can) and grains (in a bag). Are any of these ingredients still useful? I'm thinking of brewing beer again and am wondering if I can use what I already have.

Re: Beer Ingredient Expiration
I believe the extract and priming sugar (if it hasn't turned into a rock) are probably okay to use.
I'd throw the rest away.
Note that liquid malt extract often darks with age so you beer may turn out a tad darker than expected.
