Advice for my "Root Beer Beer"
Ok, so a friend and I were getting creative, and he suggested I attempt an alcoholic root beer. Having made some root beers before, I didn't think it would be a problem. Now, I've got 3 gallons of dry root beer flavored liquid that I'm not sure how to proceed with.
The dilemma is how do I sweeten it while providing sugar for carbonation in the bottles?
Should I use a non-fermentable sugar with a small amount of fermentable sugars?
What sugar proportions should I be looking at for a nice sweet taste as well as fizz? I want to move on this one so that I can get my carboy back for other purposes, so any advice is appreciated as always.

Re: Advice for my "Root Beer Beer"
I racked it today, and filled four bottles for an experment. Two of the bottles I just included priming sugar, and the other two had about 50g each of sugar per bottle dissolved in them prior to bottling. A friend and I found this amount to be very sweet. I have them in a box far away from each other or other bottles, so that if they might explode, it won't be too damaging. If the two sugary ones haven't exploded in a week or so, I will proceed to bottle the rest of it with a similar amount of sucrose. Otherwise, i'll have to continue my search for a large quantitie of cheap non-frementable sugar.

Re: Advice for my "Root Beer Beer"
For some reason, none of my bottles carbonated! It tastes fine, but no bubbles at all... So I just added some Pasture Champagne yeast in a slurry with some sugar and yeast nutrient to each bottle. Re-capped, and put them back in the garage awaiting some bubbly!
