1st time repitcching yeast
Made a wheat beer last weekend, first all grain. Am planning on a Rye beer next weekend. Was planning a trip to the beer store for yeast, but it occurred to me that this is probably the perfect situation to repitch yeast. I have never repitched, and I am unclear what I need to extract from the fermenter. I am going to rack to a secondary mainly because I think I pulled too much of my mash into the boil kettle, and I think the transfer will clear it a bit. I still have some activity in the fermenter, and I am wondering if I should wait to transfer.
If I transfer to secondary today, how should I store the yeast until I make my starter? (today is Saturday, and will brew next Saturday)
Thanks
